Damascus School Students Learn About Township Government
Mr. Meyers' and Mrs. Martin's 4th grade students visited the Damascus Township Municipal Building in May this year to learn about the local government. The event is coordinated by Mr. Howard Schuchman and Mr. Meyers and Mrs. Martin.
After their trip they made posters for the annual poster contest. Pictured in the front row (l-r) are winners of first place Rachel Gullone, second place Emma Pingel, third place Rachel Musetti and fourth place Rose Jachens. In the back row: Howard Schuchman, program coordinator, Supervisor Jeff Dexter, and Supervisor Chuck Grady. Savings Bond prizes were donated this year by the following local businesses: Lance Thol General Contracting, first place $100 U.S. Savings Bond; Hopkins Crane Service, second place $50 U.S. Savings Bond; third place Dianna's Restaurant $50 U.S. Savings Bond; and fourth place Tom Coacci, General Contractor $50 U.S. Savings Bond.
