VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Damascus Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps is looking for volunteers to help this completely FREE service to continue to provide excellent emergency services to our community. We treat all our patients and familes with respect, and the needs and comfort of the patients and their families are our most important functions. We will strive to continue this vital community service. For 5 decades, Damascus Ambulance has not charged for any services (with a membership contribution), and is proud and pleased to be able continue this valuable service through generous contributions of time and money by the community.              BUT ... WE NEED YOUR HELP!

FREE TRAINING FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS

--- All active EMT's, First Responders and Certified Drivers receive training at absolutely no cost to the volunteer.
--- Supporting Members are also needed to help with fund-raising activities to continue to pay for ambulances, vehicle fuel and maintenance, state of the art equipment, and training.

THROUGH CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY WE HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A NEW AMBULANCE AND UPDATED OUR EQUIPMENT!

Vehicles and equipment are very expensive to purchase and maintain, but are necessary to provide the best care available.

BENEFITS:
--- Help us help our neighbors!
--- Become a member of one of the last ambulance corps in the area to PROUDLY provide FREE AMBULANCE SERVICES to the community.
--- Choose your shift to volunteer! Just a few hours of your time a month helps tremendously!

AREAS WE COVER:
--- 3/4 of Damascus Township (northern part)
--- 1/2 of Lebanon Township (eastern part)
--- ALL of Manchester Township
--- 1/4 of Buckingham Township (southeastern part)

Through Mutual Aid with other ambulance corps we recently have helped provide care with Tusten Ambulance, Cochecton Ambulance, Upper Delaware Ambulance, Northern Wayne Ambulance, Pleasant Mount Emergency Services and Honesdale Emergency services. In return, those organizations provide mutual aid for emergencies when more than two ambulances are needed to help sick or injured people. We also work hand-in-hand with the volunteer fire companies at fires, automobile accidents and farm accidents.

Call today for information on how to help - contact our Membership Chairman (570-224-4552), or write to PO Box 63, Damascus, PA 18415, or attend our meetings held on the Second Monday of each moth at the Ambulance Building at 1290 Cochecton Turnpike in Tyler Hill.

REMEMBER - WHEN YOU NEED EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES, WE'LL BE THERE!
